Battle in the middle of the summer holidays


We have a nice summer due to the good and warm weather. We have reached the middle of the summer holidays and August is coming nearby. Are you still on holiday or at home working in the garden, enjoy the days with your children or at work?

Why worry?

Last week I spoke to Marc about the fear and terror in the world and he told me something wise. As a child in the second world war he played with his brothers and friends in the summer and they enjoyed this very much. Soldiers were present all the time in his hometown but people had their lives and life went on and on. He said men are Always in battle and some generations have it harder than others but life goes on. We just have to cope with it. Today he is 86 years old and still riding a bike, living alone in his house and still believing in life like he was a kid during the World War.

We are in a war period, yes we are.

Or better, we are still in peace and dealing with a battle that perhaps is not ours but still it is present and on the worldmap, nearby.

The life lesson of Marc remembers us of our humanity and life goes on in our summer holidays.
